The Grimes Heritage Society is very pleased with the purchase of four display cases. The City/Community Center has approved of the placing of these display cases in the east hallway of the Community Center. When you visit the Center please take the time to wander down the hallway and look at the memorbilia items on display. The Favorite Soup day in January was this year a great success. Now in the planning stages for the May Style Show/Salad Luncheon. Many more memorbilia has been added to the museumn room. We are anxiously awainting the arrival of Charlie Fletchall barber chair and other items of interest. Still looking for any Grimes pictures or family information you wish to bestow.
We have also received a picture from the Knoll family, a 1919 Grimes Canning and Preserving Company. We also have a 1941 picture of the Old Grimes Canning Company, both the Grimes location and the Altoona location. Many visitors have recognized their family members, come in and locate one of yours.
The Society is in need of a Secretary who would be willing to volunteer her time for our monthly meetings. The first Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. Meeting are held at the Community Center room 107.

THE FAMILY HISTORY CORNER: The Society is very interested in your family history. We wish to reserve a special place in the Museum for "Grimes Family History". Also, if you have pictures that date back to the early years, they would be of much interest. We will accept copies of, or, we can have prints made and return the originals back to you.
